I have performed live and in a studio setting on countless occasions over the past 10 years. You can find a selection of my works below for your enjoyment.
I have worked in studios of all sizes, ranging from Studio A at Metropolis Studios, my local university studio, and even in home studio setups like my own. I have developed techniques and ways of working that enable me to give my best in every studio ‘performance’.
In terms of live performance, I was a 2013 UK Open Mic Grand Finalist; I toured my own EP launch in 2014, and have taken part in many local jam nights since. Additionally, I am a member of a chamber choir and recently performed the Tenor Solo in Mozart’s Requiem Mass at the Northampton Music Festival.
I am grateful for my singing ability, and it’s something that I’m always striving to improve. I am currently working towards my ABRSM Grade 8 and aspire to teach others in the future.
I have been writing music for over a decade, primarily for cathartic purposes, but I thoroughly enjoy writing music for others.
My songwriting has also been recognised; In 2017 I won a songwriting competition, hosted by MOBO. The winning songs were selected by JinJin, one of the UK’s top songwriters.
My songwriting influences are varied and include (but are not limited to): Joni Mitchell, Sufjan Stevens, Elton John, Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, Tracy Chapman, Florence + The Machine and David Bowie. Please feel free to read some of my work.
I look at you, rose-tinted view, it feels so new. Mona Lisa's face is on a wall in a glass pyramid. She looks as though she's seen our type before, the loving kind...
